Verizon expands internet marketing team targeted on innovation, partnerships and performance

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. – As part of Verizon’s continued dedication to renovate media system, experiences and partnerships when pushing the industry forward, the corporation is making onto its promoting leadership crew naming Tony Wells as Senior Vice President, Chief Media Officer and Jennifer Gardner as Vice President, Media Platforms.

Wells will be accountable for business media across all small business units, platforms and channels managing the company centers of excellence for sponsorships, experiential and digital advertising and marketing and major associations and partnerships for athletics and leisure marketing and sponsorships across Verizon.

Acquiring led advertising and marketing groups across industries, Wells arrives to Verizon from USAA where he served as Main Manufacturer Officer, cultivating deep manufacturer growth and affinity from the organization’s extensive membership. Wells is a member of the ANA’s Board of Directors, served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps and is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He will be part of Verizon in September and report to Main Advertising and marketing Officer, Diego Scotti.

Wells succeeds John Nitti who held the role of Main Media Officer for about 5 decades and was not long ago promoted to Senior Vice President of New Small business & Partner Development major Verizon’s key enterprise broad partnerships for the business.

Also, Jennifer Gardner has been appointed to the newly made job of Vice President, Media Platforms. Gardner will oversee media approach, planning, obtaining and activation across Verizon. Gardner will come to Verizon from Unilever exactly where she managed purchaser-centric media plans. She was also a leader in the development of Unilever’s Duty Framework, acquiring larger accountability tied to diversity, fairness and inclusion. Gardner is co-lead of the ANA’s Media Leadership Committee and co-founded the Media Development Leadership Council. She will be part of Verizon in August and report into Wells.
